Autumn Update
The summer has been a busy time for Dental Care At Home as our service to care homes continues to evolve with several new care settings joining the DCH family.
It has also been an exciting time for DCH as our HQ and the main practice relocated to the new state of the art Woodside Health and Care Centre in Glasgow in June. Alongside this, we have also partnered with Co-Wheels car club to support a sustainable and scalable transport solution for our services and we are now enjoying cost-effective and flexible transport options for our team.
We are delighted to welcome Alexander Jeffcoate to the team at Dental Care At Home. Alexander trained at Glasgow Dental School before joining a practice in Falkirk. He joined Dental Care At Home in August this year and is now leading the care for three of our care homes.
September has seen a record number of 28 visits by the DCH team as our service continues to be the go-to solution for domiciliary care in Glasgow. In support of the hard work and dedication of our team, we have submitted a nomination to the Scottish Care Awards for consideration at the 2019 ceremony held in Edinburgh.
Additionally, a further two of the DCH team will also begin enhanced domiciliary care training, including AWI assessments, which will position DCH at the forefront of training and service delivery in domiciliary care as we develop our service to match the strategic vision by the Scottish Government to prioritise domiciliary-based dental health care.
